And what an inactive week it turned out to be. I caught the Young Prince's terrible cold and was flat out for a couple days. It snowed and school was canceled for -- two days? Three? It's all a blur. Things sort of blend together when you spend the majority of your time in bed with a barking cough and box after box of tissue.
The sun came out this weekend, though, and the temperature is now above my age, so we have resumed nightly walks with the dog. I have every intention of resuming my diet, too—although I've had Thai noodles twice in two weeks plus other assorted caloric splurges, so right now it's looking like intentions might be as far as I get. I'm intrigued by the idea of outfits like Blue Apron, too. As soon as we are done with the month of weird schedules and travel, we might try those out and see how long we last before we decide we are just not that adventurous.
Not Your Average Blogger leaves on his big driving trip to Tucson tomorrow. I'm more than a little jealous and wish I were going with him, but I think he's also a little excited to be heading off on his own adventure. (Too bad he doesn't blog, I'd send you over there for something interesting to read.) And it will be good for me, since maybe I'll finally get the linen closet put together, that last chapter of the book written, the floors scrubbed ... ah, who am I kidding? I'll be lucky to get the dog fed and the kid dressed—and not get the two reversed.
