Been a While

... and I have absolutely nothing to report And it's wonderful.

The kid is back in school, and with a couple small exceptions, he's done remarkably well. Good grades, all reports home are that he's getting along with the other kids, and so on.  No fights about homework. Still some smart-mouthing, but I am afraid the genetics are simply too deeply engrained on that score. Piano lessons continue apace. I'm wondering how long it'll take before he figures out that he can sing and play at the same time. So far he keeps putting me off as far as that request goes.

Work is chugging along. The material continues to be interesting, and I'm sure that any day now I'll go through a full project where I keep all the plates spinning.

We are doing a Midwest Tour for the holidays -- my family, NYAB's family, some friends. Looking forward to the break!
