Free Cone Day at Dupont Circle. And I'm not even ashamed to admit I went twice.

The first time I went was with one of my staffers, and all she had to say was, "It was a LOT warmer on Free Cone Day last year!" Note, that did not stop us from standing in line for 20 minutes. I am pleased to report I was the last person in the line to get ice cream from the newly opened and apparently still brick-hard box of Chocolate Therapy -- the scoopers refused to wear out their elbows and decided not to serve any more until it had softened up a bit. A guy offered me $20 for mine as I was leaving. Not much temptation, really -- I had to get back to work!

After my shift, I took the YP and we went for Round Two. He had chocolate, as you might be able to tell by the ring around his chattering teeth. I don't think he liked the combination of cold ice cream and cold weather.

And yes, as a matter of fact that is a Tootsie Pop you see in his hand. Because there is nothing better than a lollipop ice cream chaser. How else do you expect him to stay up until 10 p.m. to drive us all mad?? He needs chemical assistance, by golly!
HAHA, I LOVE that picture of the YP!
Also, you are my hero for going twice.

That Chocolate Therapy was pretty good! And now the YP has eaten a cone at B&J's, instead of just a bar.
One of my sister's friends managed to go to Free Cone Day no less than 8 times yesterday. She forwarded me his plan of attack around the metro area. Obviously this man is unemployed...but happy! :)
