Butter, Sugar and Strawberry Sandwiches

2 c fresh strawberries
1/3 c plus 2 T sugar
4 T unsalted butter at room temp
4 slices white bread.

Slice strawberries crosswise. Place in medium bowl and sprinkle with 1/3 c of sugar. Butter the bread then slice in half and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Spoon berries over plated bread.
